Guys, guys! I heart breakfast.
I have a big appetite, and the first thing I think of in the morning is how cute my husband is and if he made coffee yet. Because if not, that is the first thing I’ll do for sure. But then- what to eat?!
Lots of us say we “aren’t breakfast people”. This is so silly! It’s like saying, “I don’t like to have energy in the morning, and I love to be starving by the time lunchtime finally comes”.
We need fuel people!
GLP-1, a gut hormone that improves insulin sensitivity and regulates fullness, is increased when we consume a morning meal. One study showed that when we do skip our morning nosh, the change in hunger signals can lead to eating almost 20% more at lunch.
That can effectively negate our afternoon workout!
I know we are busy people though guys. And because it is National Donut Day (srrriously, why is this a thing?), I’m highlighting a super-quick-to- make breakfast idea to keep us motivated and strictly avoiding anything round and doughy- Superfruit smoothie!
